Vanisher In private testing

Privacy, in plain words

We built the product first.
The privacy story is the product.

This website

This site sets no cookies, uses no analytics, loads no fonts or scripts from third parties, and keeps no access logs — not even your IP address. Everything you see is served from our own server: the page, the fonts, the images. There is nothing here to track you with, by construction rather than by promise.

The app

Vanisher has no accounts, no phone numbers and no message storage. The server is a relay: it forwards end-to-end encrypted ciphertext between two devices that are both online, then forgets. There is no database, nothing is written to disk, and no messages, contacts or identifiers are logged. Messages exist in memory on the two devices while the conversation is live, and vanish after they are read.

What we can’t promise

Vanisher cannot block screenshots or photographs of your screen — no app can, and we won’t pretend otherwise. We provide deterrents: hold-to-reveal, a per-recipient watermark, and a wipe when the app goes to the background. Read what “vanish” means for the full, honest picture.

Plain words, not legal filler

This page is a plain-language summary written during private testing. A formal policy will be published before the public launch — and it will say the same thing, with more commas.
